Taken in 1997 on a hot day in the middle of London. German bombs in WWII flattened most of mediaeval London. In the 1960s and 1970s a huge luxury housing complex was built in the area of the old city wall to encourage people to live in the City once again. The idea was good, the construction was not, and now the 70's concrete is not a pretty sight. Perhaps I am stern at the sight of all this unfortunate architecture.
It's always sad when an author, or indeed anyone, clings to an image of a younger self as a public representation of self. So, full disclosure! As I head at long last towards getting my second novel published, I feel it is only right to keep this site up-to-date.
